Resumen

En tiempos de globalización, es patente el incremento de movimientos indios que tienen por objeto la defensa del territorio nativo y la protección de recursos como el agua, cuyas demandas se han generalizado a raíz de la economía neoliberal y la acelerada actividad extractiva. Este artículo aborda ejemplos históricos de Organización panindia directamente relacionados con acontecimientos recientes en torno a la defensa del río Missouri, impulsados por la nación lakota en Estados Unidos durante los últimos años, que han cobrado relevancia a partir de la presidencia de Donald Trump.
