Abstract

In this issue of Alteridades, the recomposition of the physical and symbolic frontiers is discussed, in view of the imminent emergence of a global rearrangement as a consequence of the emergency of neoliberalism and the processes of globalization. It provides an analysis from the social sciences contributing with some cases of study where borders have blurred, widened, pierced, transformed and reinterpreted in multiple ways in different scenarios. It passes between the physical and symbolic frontiers in a journey that goes from the limits marked by the national states to those reappropriated, transferred and reinterpreted by citizens of different latitudes.
