Abstract
This paper delves into the youth-driven colonization of nightlife in Mexico City during the 1940s-1960s, utilizing the film "Los Caifanes" as a foundational exploration. The analysis centers on cinematic portrayals and the changing context of urban nightlife. Findings reveal social distinctions in nighttime entertainment forms linked to the youths' social class. In the concluding remarks, a preliminary conclusion is drawn, underscoring the enduring and evolving nature of the sociocultural construction of the night amidst contemporary shifts in urban living.
