- Presentation/Non-double-blind peer-reviewed
- Dossier/Double-blind peer-reviewed
- Anthropological Research/Double-blind peer-reviewed
- Readings/Non-double-blind
- Dialogues/Double-blind peer-reviewed
- Translations/Double-blind peer-reviewed
Full exemption from fees
Alteridades maintains an open call for submissions to receive, review, and publish works that strictly comply with our Editorial Criteria at no cost to authors and reviewers through the OJS platform.
All submitted articles undergo a preliminary review process conducted by the Editorial Board, which decides whether to proceed with the editorial process. If the article is approved for further consideration, a double-blind peer review process begins, following the selection of national and international reviewers who are experts in the fields of social anthropology and ethnology. Articles are reviewed by a minimum of two experts in the topics addressed by the submissions. If there is no consensus on acceptance or rejection, a third expert will be consulted. If both reviewers approve or reject the article, the process will proceed or be discontinued, and the authors will be informed of the decision.
The journal’s editorial processes will ensure that reviewers act in accordance with the guidelines for reviewers in order to guarantee the objectivity of the reviews received. Editorial decisions may not be based on the authors’ nationality, ethnicity, political stance, sexual orientation, or religion.
